CEC1 - Construction Materials & Testing
Second Year
The course deals with the physical properties of common construction materials primarily metals, plastics, wood, concrete, coarse and fine aggregates, asphalt and synthetic materials; examination of materials properties with respect to design and use of end product, design and control of aggregates, concrete and asphalt mixtures, principle of testing; characteristics of test; properties of materials and materials testing equipment.
EET4 - Electronics Circuits: Devices and Analysis (EPAS NC II)
Second Year
The course covers the fundamentals of electronic circuits with their basic applications. This includes diode and transistor characteristics necessary for elementary analysis of electronic circuits with discrete components. the second half of the course covers integrated circuits commonly used electrical engineering. The course introduces students to the design of electronic circuits for basic applications such as filters., power supplies and op amp signal processors.
Environmental Science and Engineering (Green TVET) - MFT2

This course covers topics on ecological framework of sustainable development; pollution environments; water, air, and solid; waste treatment processes, disposal, and management; government legislation, rules, and regulation related to the environment and waste management; and environmental management system.

ES 11- Fluids Mechanics
Second Year
This course deals with the study of fluids at rest and in motion, including their physical properties and engineering applications. It covers fluid properties, fluid statics, pressure measurement, buoyancy, fluid kinematics, and fluid dynamics. Topics include continuity equation, Bernoulli’s equation, momentum principles, flow measurement, pipe flow, and energy losses in fluid systems. The course emphasizes the analysis and application of fluid behavior in engineering problems related to hydraulics, water systems, and other fluid-related engineering structures and processes.
ES7 - Dynamics of Rigid Bodies
Second Year
This course covers the principles governing the motion of rigid bodies and the effects of forces acting upon them. It includes kinematics and kinetics of particles and rigid bodies, translation and rotation, work and energy, impulse and momentum, and vibration concepts. The course emphasizes the analysis of motion, equilibrium, and dynamic behavior of engineering systems using fundamental laws of mechanics and mathematical principles applicable to engineering practice.
ES8 - Mechanics of Deformable Bodies
Second Year
This course deals with the behavior of deformable materials subjected to various types of loading. It covers stress and strain relationships, axial loading, torsion, bending, shear, combined stresses, and deformation of structural members. Topics also include analysis of beams, columns, pressure vessels, and elastic stability. The course emphasizes the application of fundamental principles in determining the strength, stiffness, and safety of engineering materials and structural components.
PATHFit 4 - Games, Sports and Outdoor Activities
Second Year
This course is designed to enhance students’ physical fitness through running, games, sports, and outdoor recreational activities as part of a lifelong commitment to health and wellness. The course covers the fundamentals of running, including its history, proper techniques, safety measures, and health benefits, while also integrating various team and individual sports to develop coordination, endurance, and overall physical performance.

In addition, students participate in outdoor activities such as fitness walks, jogging, circuit training, and recreational games that promote active engagement and appreciation of nature. The course encourages learners to adopt an active lifestyle by engaging in independent physical activities beyond class hours.

Emphasis is also placed on health-related fitness, proper nutrition, and wellness practices, where students monitor and evaluate their physical activity levels and dietary habits. Through participation, collaboration, and reflection, learners develop discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills while advocating for a healthy and active lifestyle within their community.
